A look back at watches

"All of it came from my family’s real estate management company, of which i own 30%.
My brother owns another 30% and my father, 40%. I’m worth more than most people i know, especially my age, but I know quite a few wealthy people where I live. Two close friends of mine come from billionaire families (one’s father sold his real estate company for R$ 800 mm about 10 years ago, the other’s family owns a relatively important investment bank in Brasil).
Most of my net worth is in high-end real estate in Rio de Janeiro, a chunck of it in bonds that generate me more than 15% per year in returns, thanks to the huge interest rates down here.
My father’s net worth is much bigger though, as he earns money for a long time now (he estimates it at a little over R$ 100 mm, or about 31 mm USD, as of today.
We don’t live a lavish lifestyle for american standards - no fancy cars, no boat, but we do live in a house one could call a mansion. We also travell quite a lot and mostly first/business class, sometimes for extended periods of time. I spent 2 months in Southeast Asia at the beginning of the year, went first class in Etihad Airways, was quite a nice experience.
I’m starting a watch collection though:
The apple watch is the only one I regret buying :)
The best thing about having a high networth at such an age is the freedom it gives me. Some of my friends have to work for bosses and worry about their future and it’s great not to be in that “race”. I work quite a lot, but with my father, and we treat each other like business partners, and i often call some important shots."

Getting to travel can be costly

"First class is an experience you have to try at least once in your life. The best experience will be the one where you don’t drop $20,000 on a return ticket but rather book with points so you get to enjoy it for the price of economy.
My most recent trip was on board Emirates flying from AMS-DXB-PER in First on the A380. The whole ticket cost me around AU$650 in taxes and a bunch of frequent flyer points.
On sale this ticket would cost around $12000+. On board you get to enjoy a shower, bar and unlimited food/booze/caviar etc. Premium champagne and cognac are offered to first class passengers. Dining is on demand and you can order anything from caviar to steak which is prepared when you feel like it. A bottle of Hennessy Paradis would set you back around AU$900 in a store, Dom 1998 around $500… basically you eat and drink like a king.
Emirates also offers a private chauffeur to and from the Airport as well as a free hotel when you transit in DXB for more than 10 hours. Flying becomes something you look forward to and traveling first class is something you will never forget.
On my recent Emirates flight I also got to visit the flight-deck after landing which, these days is a rare experience. The on board bar on the A380 is also a fun place to hang out and mingle with other people. The shower on Emirates is the one of those novelty things that’s really over the top (so is everything in first class) but nothing beats having a hot shower at 43,000ft! As they say “It’s not all about the destination, enjoy the journey”.

Exceptional tailoring, luxury fabrics, and outlandish proportions are a few characteristic to keep in mind when putting together a minimalist look. Focus around quality and investment pieces that are high end but understated. Keep your palette paired-down to four tones in one or two basic hue’s. Graphics can work but they must be simplistic and kept to a single focal point.
If a minimalist menswear wardrobe is something you’re interested in creating, book a men’s styling session with one of our Style Doctors. We can help you curate some of the key garments necessary when creating the menswear minimalist look.

Tendências-Franjas nas roupas e acessórios

Heyy Hey meus amores,tudo bem?

Bye!!!
